Fair Information
The 2020 UO Science and Invention Fair is a chance for children of all ages to develop an enthusiasm for science by designing and carrying out their own experiment. The fair is open to all Lane County children in grades K-8. Curious about the fair and resources for supporting students? Check out this video.
This fair is open to all members of the public. Even if you are not entering a project, come and have fun learning new things!
Workshops
The UO Science and Invention fair is pleased to provide workshops on Science Fair project development in local elementary and middle schools and with partners like the Eugene Public Library and the Springfield Libraries. Dates of future public workshops will be posted here soon.
Workshops cover topics such as the scientific method, choosing a project topic, research questions design, project planning, data analysis, and project presentation. Workshops are designed for students grade 3 - 8.

Registration, Fees & Scholarships
Registration is closed. There is a $20 registration fee. This is the only fee associated with the fair. SPICE wants to ensure that all students are able to participate in the science fair. For that reason financial hardship scholarships are available. To request a scholarship simply check the scholarship box on your application form.
